WHY WE BUILT REKOVR
We were marathoners who couldn’t justify 999 for compression.
CHAPTER 01 — ORIGIN
Two amateur marathoners. One physiotherapist’s closet.
The first time we asked about pneumatic compression, the answer was a Hyperice Normatec 3 sitting in the corner of a clinic. €999. Same intermittent compression promised by the early endurance research papers, just packaged for retail and priced for sponsorship.
We were two amateur marathoners with engineering backgrounds and no team behind us. The hardware was solvable. The chambers, valves, and gradient sequencing are all well-documented in published sport-science literature.
What we couldn’t justify was the markup.
CHAPTER 02 — DESIGN
Engineered in Italy. Calibrated for endurance.
The wireless air-pump topology has been mature for nearly a decade. We took apart enough consumer electronics to know that the difficult part is not the engineering — it’s the calibration. 240 mmHg peak pressure. Four chambers per leg. Six preset programs.
We engineered the boots in Italy because that is where we live and where the partner factories we trust to build to CE / RoHS / FCC standards have decades of medical-device-adjacent manufacturing experience.
CHAPTER 03 — ECONOMICS
€229 retail. Itemized below.
So we engineered REKOVR to do exactly what the incumbents do — same chambers, same gradient sequential compression, same Bluetooth control — and we sold it direct.
No NBA athlete payroll. No Apple Store retail margin. No clinical PT distribution overhead.

CHAPTER 04 — MISSION
